Wednesday, September 16

Due to classes destruction your only piece of extra work today is:

1) Complete the following however you would like:
50 Glute-Ham Raises (weighted)
25 "Super" Push-Ups (5s lower, 5s pause in bottom, 5s raise, 5s pause in plank = 1 rep) -- If you like do these with a band over your back, or with plates. Keep the elbows in tight.
50 Toes-to-Bar (Don't have to be strict, but must have legs straight and tight)

  2. That workout hurt almost as bad as I remember.

    No blown up lower back this time 150. About 20 some reps better due to back not hurting.

    1rm snatch went for 205 twice and missed

    Extra work with Maria and Evening
    5 rounds
    10 ham raises, 5 super push ups 10 straight leg t2b
    It all felt good

  4. Woke up this morning feeling really sick so my goal was to just make it to the gym and do the best I could. Did the snatch work with Bea. Hit 120# which is 7.5# below my max. First time doing this open work out. Got 130. Did the extra with Bea and Chuck. Worked on correcting my form on GHD's. Started with sets of 10 then did 5's. I struggle with those. For the push ups did the first 5 together then for rounds after that I did 3 then 2. For the T2B did sets of 10.

  5. Snatch- worked up to 225
    WOD- 178, tried to get thru the set of 165, but the suffering set in & I ran out if gas
    EXTRA- worked with Jenk, Chuck & John R.

  6. Snatch- worked up to 120, didn't feel as good as I thought it would.
    Workout- 172 felt just as bad as I did it last time. One of these days I'll get back to the burpees....
    Extra - 5rds of 10, 5, 10 with Clark, John R and RT!

  7. Worked up to 195 on snatch. 10 below my PR but best since shoulder injury. First time doing that open workout and completed 153. Shoulders were smoked. Did extra after class. All great stuff

  8. Worked up to 115 on my snatch... I know, I know not a PR. Sorry Jeff :/ I failed 115 2x bc of poor positioning but got some great coaching from Ballin' and hit my 3rd attempt. It actually didn't feel heavy so I will count that as a slight mental win. #BabySteps

    Got 158 on the workout. Significant improvement from last time.

    Did the extra with Kenz. Broke it out into 5 rounds of 10 glute ham raises, 5 super push ups, 10 t2b. The super push ups were pretty tough but overall everything felt good!

  9. Bad Snatch Day - Called it after 185, wrist and shoulders just beat up.

    Open 13.1 - 171 -- Paced this very well, tried to push it fast on the burpees:
    Snatch:
    75 - 20/10
    135 - 5's (tried to keep 10-15s rest, slipped to 20s)
    165 - 3's -- Tried to pace this to catch John at the end but fucked up, had some left in the tank - but excited by the improvement regardless. Needed John in front of me to keep me pushing - Thanks John.

    Extra - Just like everyone else, 5 x 10/5/10 -- Hard, but good.

  10. Class again! Holy shiiiiiitttt.
    Not great on snatch-205 went up easy and then 225 was a no go x2. Probly should have worked a 215 in there.
    WOD-172. Burpees were a lot tougher than I thought they'd be. 75-10/10/10 135-5/5/5/5/5/5 165-5/1/3/3/3/3/3/1

  11. 115 snatch felt like I was moving super slow and blah.

    Workout 158 ... Did large sets 20/10 for 45lbs and then did sets of 5 for the 75 .... Mental battle on the 100s hard to go fast cuz it felt so darn heavy ha

    Extra work with sunshine... Didn't do the T2b because want ha da to fully heal! Push ups were freakking hard on the way up!
