  3. Buckeye Recap:
    Positives -
    1. Urban looked good last night. The scarlet polo with a black collar under his windbreaker was on point. The man knows style.
    2. Zeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeke. Limited touches. Didnt stop him from doing his thing. He made multiple outstanding blocks for Cardale in the run game and in pass pro. It was nice to see him be active in the passing game too with 2 fully functioning hands.
    3. Braxtons spin move. Everyone is talking about it. How could you not? Braxton is a superior athlete. He was bred to make plays like that. My prediction - Dontre Wilson tries it and spins right into a tackler. Instant CTE.
    4. As jaw-droping at Braxton's spin move was, Mike Thomas' stutter go for a 6 made NFL scouts even harder. #CornerbacksLivesMatter is just brilliant. His swagger is off the charts.
    5. I liked what I saw from the defense. Game 1, not going to be perfect and we werent but solid tackling and some nice wrinkles from Fick.
    Negatives:
    1. Turnovers. They can be as careless as they want to be if they can get away with it. And it hasnt cost them v. Bama/Oregon/VPI. I just hate losing the momentum the way we did in 2nd Q.
    2. Offensive play calling. A switch from Tom Herman and it looked like we werent in sync. Game 1 everybody needs time to feel it out. But. Cardale should never run the option. Hes too slow and indecisive on the option. Get the big boy running north and south. Bring JT in to run the option. Braxton NEEEEEEEEDs to pass the football. Even if he throws it away. He needs to throw the football or teams will just tee off on the #WildBrax and he will be eating a #ConcussionSandwich. And I am all about take what the defense gives you but Zeke definitely should be shouting Rybacks catch phrase all week....FEED ME MORE!!!!!!!
    3. Notre Dame. Probably the most shocking development of the weekend was Brian Kelly never had to chew his QB out on national TV and scream until his face was purple. Both lines looked really solid. Could be one of these years where ND gets overhyped for fake being in the almighty All Crap Conference. I stand by my 8-4 prediction.

    2. Ridiculous. First off-BK didn't turn purple bc his QB was nearly perfect-he had the same amount of incomplete passes as TD passes!! (But I'm sure there will an intense conversation about those 3 imcompletes during film session). It also must be nice that you OSU fans can relax until thanksgiving. What a soft schedule.

  4. Did the #JerkWerk with Kenz. For the first EMOM, we used 105. The pause in the catch was a great way to practice footwork. Liked this a lot.

For the second jerk EMOM, we used 130, 140, 150, 160, 160. This was my first time using the jerk blocks and it was kinda awkward especially as we got heavier. I failed my first attempt at 160 but came back and got the second.

At that point, Kenz bailed on me for class so I did the functionality work on my own (Clark did it with me for 1.5 rounds and then also bailed. Rough night for me and partners!) started out with the green KB for the skull crushers but moved up to 35. With the OHS, did 1-5# plate on each side for the first set, then added an additional 5# on each side for the remaining rounds. Probably should have gone up... These felt pretty good overall, other than 60s is a realllyyyy long time in an OHS. Towel pull-ups were super weird but kinda fun-ish. Did 8 each round, 2 sets of 2 then singles for the final 4.

  5. 1) 125
    2) 155, 165, 175, 185, 185 all makes
    3) pink then green kettlebell should have gone heavier on the last set, had the 5's on each side for two rounds then had 4 5's total, probably should have went up but it felt good! Pull-ups... Well, I tried! I increased one rep every round!

  6. 1) Jerks @ 185/205
    2) Jerks 245, 265, 280, 290, 300 No misses - Felt pretty solid today
    3) Functionality - KB OHS were rough, did pink KBs on each side for the OHS - 70lb on the skull crushers. Pull-ups pretty easy, worked on being hollow after a sloppy first set.

  7. Jerks 125-135

    More Jerks 170, 180, 190, 205, 205 -all makes. felt pretty good

Functionality- 35# skull crushers, OHS hold with bands and pink KB on each side- definitely harder if i did not just sink down and rest at the bottom!, Pullups made my fingers tired and my thumbs tingle, but I liked them. Worked hard on staying in good positions
