Wednesday, November 11

Remember if you are coming anytime past 4:30pm you will not be able to hit extra as the whole class will be utilizing that extra space.  5:30a you also may run into some issues so make sure you're creative with your space and work with Tom to see if you can fit a barbell in when they begin class.

Class:
1. The Unknowns -- I would love everyone to hit this at 135/95 if you have completed it before and/or think you should "be there."  If you have NOT completed it before, get that DONE tomorrow, you have put in the work, grind and get it done.

2. Cleans:
E30s for 12mins (24rounds):
1 Squat Clean -- Pick your load. You won't have a ton of time to change weights, so if you are going to make sure you plan accordingly. If you want to stick at a moderate weight and clean things up please go around 75-80%.

  4. Started out today with a kid passing out during my 3rd Period World Religions class--we were watching THE MATRIX--and it happened when NEO was being freed from the machines and flushed down the toilet--that might have been too much for him to handle...maybe he started having a panic attack because of the idea that we are all living in a dream world? I usually start having some sort of a panic attack about that too everytime I watch THE MATRIX (this will be my 39th time--19 times at school and 20 times on AMC/TNT/USA/TBS/SPIKE/FOX
***Side note--3rd time I've had a kid pass out in my room--my lessons are intoxicating.

Well did not do the WOD today--but watched a lot of people complete it...including RT who destroyed my old record. All records are meant to be broken---I'll be coming for RT's MEMORIAL DAY baby--she will be mine, o yes, she will be mine.

  5. Really proud of everyone today, awesome progress by a lot of you guys on this - finishing and finishing at higher weights. Great job

20+2 @ 135 - PR for me, closer...body still just struggles to handle the beat down. Back blew up on me. Happy to be able to hit this today, especially with the Marine BullDog RT who killed it.

  6. Holy crap Maria Bea. πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ‘ŠπŸΌ
I finished this time...including not just SUMO DL's but 18 sumo deadlift HIGH-PULLS + 3 SDL's. Extra credit here? πŸ˜– Wall climbs were by far the worst movement. Dru, the coaching staff & the veterans in my life gave solid support throughout...39:59 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
No extra work. See you Saturday for that.

  8. Thanks to all the Veterans!!! Everyone did awesome today!!! First time doing this workout and it was a humdinger. Subbed some of the movements: did Strict pull-ups and did v-up sit ups in stead of toe to bars. Finished in 39:26. Didn't get to the cleans! Sorry!

  11. I apologize for not being active on the blog as of late. Been spending all my time on BTWB. Got 15+16 on the unknowns at 135. Back got super fired and seized up. Continued as best I could. I thought it best not to do extra and work on some mobility and getting the back and hips loosened up.

An honor to do that workout and to be among such amazing veterans at our gym. Jeff - thank you and I appreciate your service and everything you have done for us at the gym. You're the man!
